Text: 1 Corinthians 15:1-19
We think of so many different things when it comes to Easter. . .candy, the Easter bunny, baskets, etc. But, our focus is not on the Resurrection. The Resurrection is a core Truth of our foundation. If we don’t believe in the totality of Jesus Christ, we cannot call ourselves christians. We live in a society today that the fullness of Jesus Christ is not accepted. If we only belive in partiality, then our believing is in vain. Our faith is useless. If we are not holding on to ALL the truths of Jesus Christ, then we miss it all! We don’t want our faith to be in vain. We want our faith to be totally in Jesus and all the He has done! We will be held accountable for who we believe Jesus is and what’s He’s done. If there is any part of the gospel we don’t believe, then we are denying Jesus. We need to believe in the fullness of Him. Jesus died for our sins and He was raised on the third day. The Resurrection was necessary to fulfill prophecy. We should never forget where we were and where we are now. When we think about the cross, it should humble us and make us fall on our knees and cry out to God and say thank You! I am a wretch, undone! The Resurrection is for us now! We have eternal life! As believers, we have hope in the future!
