Text: Romans 7:21-25
We all recognize that we’re in a battle, by the world around us. But, we are also in a battle within ourselves. There is a war against our flesh and our spirit. Our flesh wants to rebel against the things of God. It can be things as simple as praying or reading our Bibles. We may love God and His Word, but our flesh will fight against it. When we follow our own ways, nothing good will come of it. We may feel like giving up, but God says, we can make it! We need to call out for help. We need to call out to God recognizing we need Him. We are wretched and we need a Savior. We need to recognize the shape that we’re in and ask God for help. We need to go back to our Source! When we feel we are losing the battle, know this. . .we don’t have to. Cry out to God! He is Faithful! He is our help in time of trouble. We have the power over sin. We don’t have to give in to those fleshly desires or temptations because of what Jesus did on the cross. We have the victory!
